The UK’s largest open windrow compost facility from Greenways is now open.
Greenways waste Management, in conjunction with Impetus Waste Management, have recently invested over 4 million pounds constructing the UK's largest open windrow compost plant. Our vision was to provide a first class composting facility capable of processing 150,000 tonnes of compost per annum. Every tonne of compost produced through our plant will be used to restore neighbouring brown field land.
Our composting facility offers the following:
- Capacity to process up to 150,000 tonnes of waste per annum.
- 2 x dedicated storage tanks for liquid and sludge waste.
- Multiple discharge points to ensure rapid turn around.
- Dedicated mixing bays for all waste streams.
- Weighbridge facility.
- On-line booking facility via our website.
- Open 6 days a week from 7:00am – 5:00pm.
- All compost material used to restore neighbouring brown field land.
Do you have a waste stream for our compost facility?
To support our customers, Greenways have partnered with an accredited laboratory to provide the appropriate waste analysis required to support your compost application. Our service includes a courier collection from anywhere in the UK, digital copy of laboratory analysis and if deemed suitable, a written waste benefit statement. The above service charge is £195 plus VAT per sample collected.
For each new waste stream we accept in to our compost facility we require a completed application. The above laboratory analysis will allow you to complete your application in full however independent analysis of your waste stream will also be accepted.
